This privacy statement is intended for Users and Customers.
WealthTravel offers online Travel Services through its Site as well as via third-party channels such as partners websites. This privacy statement applies to any kind of information WealthTravel processes through its Travel Services. This Privacy statement is issued pursuant to and reflects compliance with the requirements and/or obligations and/or duties introduced by the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”), as amended and replaced from time to time, as well as the relevant implementing legislation L.125(I)/2018 of the Republic of Cyprus as amended and replaced from time to time, in relation to all processing activities carried out by the Company in respect of the Users Personal Data.
1 Collection and process of data:
WealthTravel respects the User’s data and right to privacy. This Privacy Statement aims to inform the User of the collection, storage and use processes. The collection made meets the legal and purpose scope.
The main scope is the fulfillment of WealthTravel’s contractual obligations to the User and provide the most appropriate services. Personal Data is collected and processed for: administration of trip reservations, customer service, User account, communication, market research, showing the price applicable to you, reviews, fraud prevention and legal purposes such as regulatory investigations or comply with law enforcement requirements.
WealthTravel may share your personal data with group entities. Additionally, WealthTravel may share data with the User’s explicit consent, where it is requested by any competent or any other authority having control or jurisdiction, with professional advisors, with other service providers who create, maintain or process databases (whether electronic or not), offer record keeping services, email transmission services, messaging services or similar services which aim to assist WealthTravel collect, storage, process and use your Personal Data, with such third parties as WealthTravel sees fit to assist in enforcing legal or contractual rights against the User including but not limited to debt collection agencies and legal advisors, and with software, platform support or cloud hosting companies.
Wealthtravel may receive data from Wealthlooks.
Our Application accesses your location solely to enable functionality, including displaying nearby hotels, personalizing content, and improving user experience. Location data will not be used for any other purpose without your explicit consent and will not be shared with any third party service providers. The User may disable location access at any time through the device or application settings. Certain features of the Application may not function properly if location access is disabled.
WealthTravel already has your personal information via your Wealthlooks account. Having this information can help the User plan and manage future trip reservations and receive personalized recommendations. Depending on the trip, WealthTravel may request further information, such as whether the User is traveling for work purposes, the names and dates of birth of the people accompanying, and any preferences the User might have for your trip (e.g. dietary or accessibility requirements). For reservations for flights and certain attractions, WealthTravel may be required to ask you for additional information including the Users and his/her co-travelers passport or national ID information. This may also be necessary for online check-in. The User bears responsibility to inform WealthTravel if his/her personal information changes, a to remain current, accurate and correct and the User acknowledges that WealthTravel relies on the Personal Data provided to them in carrying out their obligations, under the law and contractual relationship with the User.
When contact is made via WealthTravels platform (email or social media) it also collects information from you via these channels. When the User submits a review regarding a trip information is collected including name/display name.
In the event that you are booking a trip for someone else, when the User uses WealthTravel to share information about others, its the Users responsibility to ensure that each person you provide personal data about is aware that the User is doing so and understands how WealthTravel uses their personal data (as described in this privacy statement) and he/she consents in doing so
Whether or not the User proceeds to make a reservation via WealthTravel, when using the Site certain information is collected automatically. This includes IP address, the dates and times of using the platform and selected information about the Users devices hardware and software (e.g. operating system, internet browser, mobile app version, language settings). WealthTravel also collects information about clicks you make and which pages are shown to you from the platform, for example, via the cookies. WealthTravel also receives information via its partners, and/or third party companies.
When the User makes a reservation online using a service for which the strategic partner relies on WealthTravel, WealthTravel receives the reservation details via the strategic partner so that the reservation can be processed and supported. Similarly, trip providers may share information about the User with WealthTravel too. This could happen if you have support questions about a pending trip reservation, or if disputes or other issues arise about a trip reservation.
WealthTravel integrates with third-party payment service providers (JCC) to facilitate electronic payments between the User, WealthTravel, and trip providers. These service providers share payment information so WealthTravel can administer and handle the Users trip reservation. The payment service providers may, in some cases, use the Users personal data for their own purposes, such as to detect and prevent fraud attempts and to comply with legal requirements applicable to them. WealthTravel may also share information with relevant financial institutions if it considers it strictly necessary for fraud prevention purposes, for example, to prevent the fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.
WealthTravel may block the delivery of communications that WealthTravel at their sole discretion, believe might contain malicious content or spam, or pose a risk to you, trip providers, WealthTravel, or others.
Additionally, information is collected in the regrettable case that a complaint has been filed or a disputed has been initiated about you from a trip provider, for example in the case of possible misconduct.
2 Storage of Data:
WealthTravel cooperates with a third party for the storage data. Data is kept in a form which permits the identification of the relevant data subject for no longer than necessary for the intended purpose of processing. Data wherever possible, is stored in a way that prevents or limits identification of the data subject.
